COMMON QUESTIONS

IS IT SOCIALISM OR CAPITALISM?

I could say that it has something of both, but it is neither. The pros of it without the cons of it. I explain:

Our business model is only possible through impact investment with private capital, with the aim of continuing to generate wealth through the development of infrastructure to cover basic human needs, creating employment and safeguarding resources for future generations; that is, sustainable economy. 100% private property, without the need for democracy and without “power” disguised as the state or “social classes” disguised as civil society getting in the way.

In matter, socialism, capitalism and any other known economic system are based on production, being the only globalized option to obtain well-being and, regardless of the circumstances, those who do not produce do not eat, this generates vulnerability and depression.

That said: If it were socialism or communism, there would be no private property and no utility for the coverage of basic needs. A sustainable citizen would be worth nothing, can't even exist, and the only ones who win would be those who have a job in the supply chain, the army, the state and that’s it. There would definitely be a low level of motivation and development. With our business model, both the sustainable citizen and the infrastructure are privet property, generating utility, development and peace of mind to motivate from the search for inspiration of our workers to creating their own business opportunities.

In a capitalist system, resources would be exploited and future generations could be put at risk, using speculation to achieve the greatest advantage over the costs of the distribution and supply chain, deteriorating and making development as inefficient as possible. On the other hand, with our business model, the sustainable citizen has his basic needs covered, so the salary he receives from any other economic activity results in prosperity to expand his style or life experience.

Basically, it is a hybrid between capitalism and socialism… becoming a conscious and ethical economy. That is why it is called a sustainable economy.

Our business model is not a service, it is a life experience. More than a company, it is an institution of cultural, scientific and social governance. It is not a democracy; it is a constitution. It's a job, not charity. And, above all, civic and free to be.

Differences between Universal Basic Income and Universal Basic Employment?

The universal basic income (UBI), unconditional basic income or citizen income. All Alike is a form of social security system in which all citizens or residents of a country regularly receive a sum of money with no strings attached. It is received from the government or some other public institution, in addition to any income received from elsewhere. It is received by every full-fledged member or resident of society even if he or she is unable or unwilling to work for pay, regardless of whether he or she is rich or poor and regardless of what other possible sources of income may be and regardless of who resides.

The RBU system seeks to cover the entire population with a guaranteed income regardless of their employment, economic or social conditions. An income that allows basic survival from month to month, guaranteed by the state. In the context of the 2019-2021 coronavirus pandemic, different countries around the world, the World Economic Forum and even the Pope have spoken out in favor of the implementation of a Universal Basic Income. Unlike the above, EQUITY does not depend on the state or civil institutions; It is a self-sufficient economic and business model that coexists with other currencies and geopolitical thoughts.

Universal Basic Employment (UBE) is based on the ESG CRITERIA (“Environmental, social and corporate governance”), which is an approach that evaluates the extent to which a corporation works in the name of social objectives that go beyond only maximize the profits of its shareholders. In this way, the coverage of basic needs is only obtained through the UBE, not through charity, and for this, both workers and shareholders are responsible for maintaining the correct operation of it.

The following are the results of the implementation of the UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME in different countries and with which eQuidad supports its business model.

Its supporters claim that:

• It would improve people's situation with a low purchasing power.

• The devaluation of our capacity for work would be avoided, or at least made more difficult. Nobody would be forced to accept deplorable conditions because they would not be forced by necessity.

• Unpleasant jobs would be better paid.

• Workers would be in better conditions to negotiate employment contracts.

• There would be no unemployment aid.

• It would be less likely to work illegally; thus, no money would be spent investigating the fraud.

• Self-employment would be less risky and more likely to increase.

His detractors claim that:

• It would generate growing inflation in the economy until it nullifies the real value of the money obtained through the basic income.

• Much fewer people would work in the labor market.

• It would damage the social prestige of education and effort, with very harmful consequences for social mobility.

• It would erode civic values and weaken democratic institutions, as many people who would normally be perfectly capable of making a living on their own would become dependent on the state.

• Unpleasant or low-paid jobs, far from disappearing, would be carried out by people who do not have citizenship or who are not eligible to receive the subsidy for any other reason.

• If having citizenship were not a requirement to receive the universal basic income, it would attract immigrants who would try to obtain it.

• It would be a considerable expense that could be used to finance programs that have been shown to be effective in promoting equal opportunities, such as public education.

• Resources that could generate more jobs and attract investment would be allocated.

Retractors base their opinion on speculation and fear with the intent to confuse and misinform. eQuidad is a business model in the short, medium and long term that does not explode overnight. On the other hand, they are wrong to believe that people are poor workers; In our point of view, people should not occupy a workplace out of necessity; but by conviction and self-motivation. In the UBE, people have their basics covered, so if they want a car, a house, a camera or pay rent in the city, they will work as long as necessary to expand their assets; A person who wants to work, no matter where they come from… is going to be there.

eQuidad is a labor commitment as sustainable citizens with which we acquire a basic, sustainable, healthy and safe lifestyle, along with the time necessary to self-create and reinvent ourselves a life experience as many times as we want; the rest depends on how we want it to be, or what we want to do with it. Whoever wants to expand their belongings, let them work, whoever wants to expand their experiences, let them work... Having basic needs met, life becomes a personal experience.

As a sustainable citizen we have our basic duties, such as shopping our food, cooking and maintaining our universal basic employment. The rest is entertainment, fun, knowledge, curiosity, research, experimentation, socializing or simply Being until we get bored and doing or creating something that interests, inspires or entertains ourselves or others; meanwhile, we have the tools to grow our income.

We are all free to do what motivates us. In sustainable economic logistics there is no such thing as meeting social expectations; only inspiration provided by personal experiences is appreciated.

AREN'T YOU EXPLOITING PEOPLE?

No. People can choose through which economic means they want to obtain well-being. Through health basic quality needs are covered, every sustainable citizen has access to information and education to pursue their goals without hunger or cold being a barrier.

Any teacher, researcher or communicator who imparts or shares knowledge has the tools to compete and generate higher income, again, without hunger or cold being a barrier.

I think that every time a machine takes over a person’s job… it means there is a liberated human. However, the production model on which well-being depends is not interested in people who do not produce... nor does it have to... and if it does, it is for charity, but it is not obliged to offer it either. That is why our business model transforms charity into investment to solve extreme poverty and lack of employment to satisfy basic human needs, making people feel independent, useful and responsible.

I think that in the immediate future companies require trained and motivated personnel to work, not forced, and much less in need, that is not good for the company. I also believe that no matter how skilled a person is, they may not be motivated, no one has to be where they don't want to be, and just like any company that offers a job, we wouldn't want people who don't want to work either.

I am aware that there are people who prefer more life experiences than objects, which a permanent job does not allow them to obtain, but a temporary job does... and there are other people who want both objects and experiences. As a sustainable citizen we have our basic needs covered, so the salary you receive from any other economic activity results in prosperity to expand the style or life experience you pursue.

People will have the ability to act according to our interests, and companies will be able to choose trained and motivated personnel according to the lifestyle they want to pursue, or the life experiences they want to obtain. (How do you see yourself in 5 years?)

As sustainable citizens we are literally responsible for maintaining our value, that is, our health. Free from the need to comply with any stereotype or concept of beauty, but rather to create and transmit individually or in groups our own identity, image and philosophy, even personal belief. And while we consume and live our full and personal life experience, with our basic needs covered, our business model generates sustainable and healthy profitability.
